Professor Yasuhiko Arakawa was featured in the “This Week Review  This Person” column of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun on the occasion of the announcement of his winning the Japan Academy Prize. Prof. Arakawa’s proposal of “quantum dots,” which was the reason for the award, and his efforts for their practical application as well as his personality were introduced.
