Professor Yasuhiko Arakawa and Jun Tatebayashi, Lecturer at the Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University (at the time of submission of the paper: Project Assistant Professor at the Institute for Nano Quantum Information Electronics, the University of Tokyo), were awarded the 39th (2017) Award for best review paper of the Japan Society of Applied Physics on 5 September. The award-winning paper is “Advances in Nanowire-based Quantum Dot Lasers,” published in Applied Physics, Vol. 85, No. 7, pp. 568-574.
