On Wednesday, October 23, NanoQuine successfully held the 17th Photonics Innovation (PI) Seminar at Kyoto University’s Katsura Campus. The seminar was co-sponsored by Kyoto University’s Graduate Program for Excellence in Advanced Photonics and Electronic Devices, and was also held as part of the program’s lectures. The event was co-sponsored by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), the Photonics Electronics Technology Research Association (PETRA), and the Kyoto University Graduate School of Engineering’s Photonics and Electronics Science and Engineering Center. The Optoelectronics Industry and Technology Development Association (OITDA) provided sponsorship. Specially Appointed Professor Yasuhiko Arakawa of the University of Tokyo and Kyoto University, Professor Susumu Noda of Kyoto University and Professor Shigeki Takeuchi of Kyoto University gave lectures on quantum dots, photonic crystals and quantum metrology.
